My name is Annalee Hamilton and I am very excited to be joining Picture Butte High School this year teaching Social Studies!  Social Studies, history (especially military history!) is a passion of mine, and it is a dream come true being able to teach what I love the most every day!

 

I always knew that teaching was meant for me.  I graduated high school, and enrolled in my Bachelor of Arts at the University of Lethbridge, majoring in History.  I learned so much, and every day was an experience learning something new and different about the world.  It wasn't a surprise that once I completed my degree, I knew I needed to become a teacher and share everything that I had learned.  Fast forward a few years, and here I am, ready to share my passion with all my students! 

 

In my spare time you can always find me with my family and friends.  They are an incredible support system and I consider myself to be very lucky to have them in my life.  I also love to travel with family and best friends, whether it's to the beaches of Mexico or a random road trip, we always have a great time!

 

I also love keeping active and I'm always up for a walk with my dog through the dog park.  Speaking of pets, I also have two cats that rule my life way more than they should.  But they are cute, so that makes up for it... kind of.

I also love to cook and try new recipes (sometimes really good, sometimes really bad - just ask me about my baking stories...yuck).  Nothing beats cooking a fantastic Sunday dinner and enjoying it with all my loved ones!
